Product description
DMG-PEG600-Streptavidin is a bioconjugation reagent used for labeling of biomolecules and bioimaging. It is a complex compound of Streptavidin (a protein) linked to a PEG (Polyethylene glycol) spacer and a DMG (Dimethylglycine) moiety. The PEG linker provides water solubility and flexibility while preventing unspecific binding of the bioconjugate. The DMG portion can be used for the selective labeling of biomolecules having carboxylic acid functional groups. In particular, DMG-PEG600-Streptavidin is used for multiple applications in biology, such as immunoassays, protein purification and detection, cell sorting, and imaging.
