Product description
The synthesis of this polymer does not use direct copolymerization of monomers containing free amino and carboxyl groups(as they are prone to side reactions),but instead uses pre protected monomers for controlled free radical copolymerization, followed by selective deprotection to obtain the target product.Using Boc protected N - (3-aminopropyl)methacrylamide(Boc-NAPMA)as the amino functional monomer.Boc groups can be efficiently removed under mild acidic conditions(such as TFA)and are stable to ester bonds.Use tert butyl acrylate(tBA)as the carboxyl precursor monomer instead of free acrylic acid.Tert butyl ester is stable during the polymerization process, avoiding complexation between carboxyl groups and initiators or catalysts.
