Platinum prodrug Pt (IV)
Platinum prodrug Pt (IV)
Product description
Pt (IV) class cisplatin prodrugs are six coordinated octahedral platinum complexes formed by introducing two ligands axially on the basis of the planar four coordinated Pt (II) structure of classical cisplatin. Starting from cisplatin, a dihydroxy Pt (IV) intermediate is obtained by oxidation with hydrogen peroxide. The axial hydroxyl group is then used as a nucleophilic site to undergo acylation/esterification reactions with substrates such as acid anhydrides and carboxylic acids, introducing the target functional ligand. This process does not destroy the metal ligand bond between Pt and the original ligand. This product is only for scientific research and cannot be used on the human body.
