Simvastatin acid (Tenivastatin) ammonium is an effective inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase (HMGCR). Simvastatin acid ammonium reduces the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) mediated by indophenol sulfate. Simvastatin acid ammonium can also regulate OATP3A1 expression in cardiomyocytes and HEK293 cells transfected with OATP3A1 gene.
