(−)-Sweroside(C16H22O9,358.3) is an iridoid glycoside that has been found in L. japonica and has diverse biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, antiproliferative, and anti-obesity properties.It inhibits LPS-induced production of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) in mouse RAW 264.7 macrophages when used at a concentration of 40 µM.
